Configure Windows Admin Center

Purpose

Plan Windows Admin Center usage for centralized Windows Server management.

Phase 2 decision

During Phase 2, Windows Admin Center can be installed on HQ-MGMT01 for local administrative use.

In later phases, a dedicated server may be deployed:

HQ-WAC01

Install

Download and install Windows Admin Center on HQ-MGMT01.

Access model

• Access only from Management VLAN.
• Use administrative accounts.
• Do not expose Windows Admin Center directly to the Internet.

Initial managed nodes

• HQ-DC01

Validation

Confirm that HQ-MGMT01 can connect to HQ-DC01 through Windows Admin Center.
