Configure Windows Terminal

Purpose

Use Windows Terminal as the standard console on HQ-MGMT01.

Install

winget install --id Microsoft.WindowsTerminal --source winget

Recommended profiles

• PowerShell 7
• Windows PowerShell 5.1
• Command Prompt
• SSH

Optional configuration

Set PowerShell 7 as the default profile.

Validation

Open Windows Terminal and confirm that pwsh launches correctly.
